Bali and Hong Kong

We are well overdue an update, so here are some pictures and a few words from the last couple of weeks.

14th-23rd  June
KMs:  75  (Two up on a Scooter)
Unofficial police payments: 1

We spent a couple of weeks in Perth at the generous hospitality of Doug’s cousin Peter and family. We were lucky enough to be able to go along to 2 of Peters gigs during this time, Doug even got to try his hand at being a roadie.

Peter on the right playing guitar.

Travelling can be tiring, so we went on holiday!! Being just a stones throw from Bali we recognised a great opportunity to visit, and thought why not stop at Hong Kong before the long leg to Cape Town.

Ubud was a hive of activity, mopeds dominated the crazy roads and there were temples a plenty to keep us busy.

A trip to the Monkey forest is a must, they even imitate the human beings!

Monkey see, monkey do!

Scooter selfie a must!

Visiting a coffee plantation we were able to feed the Luwak, responsible for giving the coffee it’s special flavour.

Mt Batur Volcano, an awesome sight for our last day in Bali.

We touched down in Hong Kong in the early hours, waking to this spectacular view was quite a contrast to the previous week.

The night markets were buzzing and  offered a great opportunity to  get creative with our cameras.

We are now in South Africa, and the car is due to arrive in Durban in just over a week (10th July), fingers crossed…
